Tom Sóyer. Little yellow book

Each year, the Book and Culture Festival of Medellín (Colombia) publishes the "little yellow book", a series of short adaptations of universal literature classics. For 2017, the title chosen was Mark Twain's novel "Tom Sawyer".

I was commissioned to create the llustrations for both printed and interactive/animated app.

Characters and scenes

The characters developed for this adaptation were Tom Sawyer as "Tom Sóyer", aunt Polly as "Tía Dolly", Huckleberry Finn as "Huck El mortiño" Becky Tatcher as "Becky", Injun Joe as "Indio Joe"

Brazil, guest country

In all previous editions, the guest at the Medellín Book Festival was usually a city. In 2017, for the first time, there is a guest country: Brazil, which assisted with a delegation of almost 100 people, more than 6,000 literary titles, but also a variety of talks of authors, samples of gastronomy, cinema and music of the largest country in South America.

I was commissioned to create the brand image and a set of icons representatives of Brazil.
